Pokemon Go:Update 0.61.0 & 1.31.0

Pokemon Go new Update

A new Pokemon Go update has just been released. What’s new in the latest  update?

Version 0.61.0 for Android, and Version 1.31.0 for iOS, was announced on Thursday evening via Niantic’s website. According to the patch notes, this update adds Traditional Chinese language support to the game.

In addition, the notes say that the latest version has updated the Pokémon collection screen scroll bar.

Finally, today’s update will feature “various bug fixes.” Typically when Niantic uses language like this in their patch notes, it means they have fixed a handful of small things that were affecting some players but that were not major or widespread enough to be worth going into detail about.

This is the first time the game has been updated for both iOS and Android in over two weeks, with the previous update coming on March 21st.

When players sift through the code of these updates, they often find hints about what Niantic is planning to release in the future. This, for example, is how dedicated fans discovered that Niantic was planning a “buddy” system weeks before they officially announced it.

As soon as this update begins to roll out, then, we’ll have some more information about what is contained in the code and not included in the patch notes.

Here are the full patch notes on today’s update via Niantic:
